وَیلٞ لِّلمُطَفِّفِینَ

Waylun lilmutaffifeena

Woe to those who give less [than due]

الَّذِینَ اِذَا اکتَالُواْ عَلَی النَّاسِ یَستَوفُونَ

Allatheena itha iktaloo AAala alnnasi yastawfoona

Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full

وَاِذَا کَالُوهُم اَو وَّزَنُوهُم یُخسِرُونَ

Waitha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona

But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss

اَلَا یَظُنُّ اُوْلَٓئِکَ اَنَّهُم مَّبعُوثُونَ

Ala yathunnu olaika annahum mabAAoothoona

Do they not think that they will be resurrected

لِیَومٍ عَظِیم

Liyawmin AAatheemin

For a tremendous Day

یَومَ یَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ العَلَمِینَ

Yawma yaqoomu alnnasu lirabbi alAAalameena

The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds

کَلَّآ اِنَّ کِتَبَ الفُجَّارِ لَفِی سِجِّین

Kalla inna kitaba alfujjari lafee sijjeenin

No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen

وَمَآ اَدرَیکَ مَا سِجِّینٞ

Wama adraka ma sijjeenun

And what can make you know what is sijjeen

کِتَبٞ مَّرقُومٞ

Kitabun marqoomun

It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

وَیلٞ یَومَئِذ لِّلمُکَذِّبِینَ

Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeena

Woe, that Day, to the deniers

الَّذِینَ یُکَذِّبُونَ بِیَومِ الدِّینِ

Allatheena yukaththiboona biyawmi alddeeni

Who deny the Day of Recompense

وَمَا یُکَذِّبُ بِهِٓ اِلَّا کُلُّ مُعتَدٍ اَثِیمٍ

Wama yukaththibu bihi illa kullu muAAtadin atheemin

And none deny it except every sinful transgressor

اِذَا تُتلَی عَلَیهِ ءَایَتُنَا قَالَ اَسَطِیرُ الاَوَّلِینَ

Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru alawwaleena

When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples

کَلَّا بَل رَانَ عَلَی قُلُوبِهِم مَّا کَانُواْ یَکسِبُونَ

Kalla bal rana AAala quloobihim ma kanoo yaksiboona

No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning

کَلَّآ اِنَّهُم عَن رَّبِّهِم یَومَئِذ لَّمَحجُوبُونَ

Kalla innahum AAan rabbihim yawmaithin lamahjooboona

No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned

ثُمَّ اِنَّهُم لَصَالُواْ الجَحِیمِ

Thumma innahum lasaloo aljaheemi

Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire

ثُمَّ یُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِی کُنتُم بِهِ تُکَذِّبُونَ

Thumma yuqalu hatha allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona

Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny

کَلَّآ اِنَّ کِتَبَ الاَبرَارِ لَفِی عِلِّیِّینَ

Kalla inna kitaba alabrari lafee AAilliyyeena

No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun

وَمَآ اَدرَیکَ مَا عِلِّیُّونَ

Wama adraka ma AAilliyyoona

And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun

کِتَبٞ مَّرقُومٞ

Kitabun marqoomun

It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed

یَشهَدُهُ المُقَرَّبُونَ

Yashhaduhu almuqarraboona

Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]

اِنَّ الاَبرَارَ لَفِی نَعِیمٍ

Inna alabrara lafee naAAeemin

Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure

عَلَی الاَرَآئِکِ یَنظُرُونَ

AAala alaraiki yanthuroona

On adorned couches, observing

تَعرِفُ فِی وُجُوهِهِم نَضرَۃَ النَّعِیمِ

TaAArifu fee wujoohihim nadrata alnnaAAeemi

You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure

یُسقَونَ مِن رَّحِیق مَّختُومٍ

Yusqawna min raheeqin makhtoomin

They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed

خِتَمُهُ مِسکٞ وَفِی ذَلِکَ فَلیَتَنَافَسِ المُتَنَفِسُونَ

Khitamuhu miskun wafee thalika falyatanafasi almutanafisoona

The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete

وَمِزَاجُهُ مِن تَسنِیمٍ

Wamizajuhu min tasneemin

And its mixture is of Tasneem

عَینا یَشرَبُ بِهَا المُقَرَّبُونَ

AAaynan yashrabu biha almuqarraboona

A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink

اِنَّ الَّذِینَ اَجرَمُواْ کَانُواْ مِنَ الَّذِینَ ءَامَنُواْ یَضحَکُونَ

Inna allatheena ajramoo kanoo mina allatheena amanoo yadhakoona

Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed

وَاِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِم یَتَغَامَزُونَ

Waitha marroo bihim yataghamazoona

And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances

وَاِذَا انقَلَبُوٓاْ اِلَیٓ اَهلِهِمُ انقَلَبُواْ فَکِهِینَ

Waitha inqalaboo ila ahlihimu inqalaboo fakiheena

And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting

وَاِذَا رَاَوهُم قَالُوٓاْ اِنَّ هَٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ

Waitha raawhum qaloo inna haolai ladalloona

And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost

وَمَآ اُرسِلُواْ عَلَیهِم حَفِظِینَ

Wama orsiloo AAalayhim hafitheena

But they had not been sent as guardians over them

فَالیَومَ الَّذِینَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ الکُفَّارِ یَضحَکُونَ

Faalyawma allatheena amanoo mina alkuffari yadhakoona

So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers

عَلَی الاَرَآئِکِ یَنظُرُونَ

AAala alaraiki yanthuroona

On adorned couches, observing

هَل ثُوِّبَ الکُفَّارُ مَا کَانُواْ یَفعَلُونَ

Hal thuwwiba alkuffaru ma kanoo yafAAaloona

Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do
