طسٓ تِلکَ ءَایَتُ القُرءَانِ وَکِتَاب مُّبِینٍ

Taseen tilka ayatu alqurani wakitabin mubeenin

Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book

هُدی وَبُشرَی لِلمُؤمِنِینَ

Hudan wabushra lilmumineena

As guidance and good tidings for the believers

الَّذِینَ یُقِیمُونَ الصَّلَوۃَ وَیُؤتُونَ الزَّکَوۃَ وَهُم بِالآخِرَۃِ هُم یُوقِنُونَ

Allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wayutoona alzzakata wahum bialakhirati hum yooqinoona

Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]

اِنَّ الَّذِینَ لَا یُؤمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَۃِ زَیَّنَّا لَهُم اَعمَلَهُم فَهُم یَعمَهُونَ

Inna allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati zayyanna lahum aAAmalahum fahum yaAAmahoona

Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly

اُوْلَٓئِکَ الَّذِینَ لَهُم سُوٓءُ العَذَابِ وَهُم فِی الآخِرَۃِ هُمُ الاَخسَرُونَ

Olaika allatheena lahum sooo alAAathabi wahum fee alakhirati humu alakhsaroona

Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers

وَاِنَّکَ لَتُلَقَّی القُرءَانَ مِن لَّدُن حَکِیمٍ عَلِیمٍ

Wainnaka latulaqqa alqurana min ladun hakeemin AAaleemin

And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing

اِذ قَالَ مُوسَی لِاَهلِهِٓ اِنِّیٓ ءَانَستُ نَارا سََٔاتِیکُم مِّنهَا بِخَبَرٍ اَو ءَاتِیکُم بِشِهَاب قَبَس لَّعَلَّکُم تَصطَلُونَ

Ith qala moosa liahlihi innee anastu naran saateekum minha bikhabarin aw ateekum bishihabin qabasin laAAallakum tastaloona

[Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُودِیَ اَن بُورِکَ مَن فِی النَّارِ وَمَن حَولَهَا وَسُبحَنَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ العَلَمِینَ

Falamma jaaha noodiya an boorika man fee alnnari waman hawlaha wasubhana Allahi rabbi alAAalameena

But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds

یَمُوسَیٓ اِنَّهُٓ اَنَا اللَّهُ العَزِیزُ الحَکِیمُ

Ya moosa innahu ana Allahu alAAazeezu alhakeemu

O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise

وَاَلقِ عَصَاکَ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهتَزُّ کَاَنَّهَا جَآنّٞ وَلَّی مُدبِرا وَلَم یُعَقِّب یَمُوسَی لَا تَخَف اِنِّی لَا یَخَافُ لَدَیَّ المُرسَلُونَ

Waalqi AAasaka falamma raaha tahtazzu kaannaha jannun walla mudbiran walam yuAAaqqib ya moosa la takhaf innee la yakhafu ladayya almursaloona

And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear

اِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسنَا بَعدَ سُوٓء فَاِنِّی غَفُورٞ رَّحِیمٞ

Illa man thalama thumma baddala husnan baAAda sooin fainnee ghafoorun raheemun

Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful

وَاَدخِل یَدَکَ فِی جَیبِکَ تَخرُج بَیضَآءَ مِن غَیرِ سُوٓء فِی تِسعِ ءَایَتٍ اِلَی فِرعَونَ وَقَومِهِٓ اِنَّهُم کَانُواْ قَوما فَسِقِینَ

Waadkhil yadaka fee jaybika takhruj baydaa min ghayri sooin fee tisAAi ayatin ila firAAawna waqawmihi innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena

And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتهُم ءَایَتُنَا مُبصِرَۃ قَالُواْ هَذَا سِحرٞ مُّبِینٞ

Falamma jaathum ayatuna mubsiratan qaloo hatha sihrun mubeenun

But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic

وَجَحَدُواْ بِهَا وَاستَیقَنَتهَآ اَنفُسُهُم ظُلما وَعُلُوّا فَانظُر کَیفَ کَانَ عَقِبَۃُ المُفسِدِینَ

Wajahadoo biha waistayqanatha anfusuhum thulman waAAuluwwan faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena

And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters

وَلَقَد ءَاتَینَا دَاوُدَ وَسُلَیمَنَ عِلما وَقَالَا الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی فَضَّلَنَا عَلَی کَثِیر مِّن عِبَادِهِ المُؤمِنِینَ

Walaqad atayna dawooda wasulaymana AAilman waqala alhamdu lillahi allathee faddalana AAala katheerin min AAibadihi almumineena

And We had certainly given to David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise [is due] to Allah, who has favored us over many of His believing servants

وَوَرِثَ سُلَیمَنُ دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ یَٓاَیُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمنَا مَنطِقَ الطَّیرِ وَاُوتِینَا مِن کُلِّ شَیءٍ اِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الفَضلُ المُبِینُ

Wawaritha sulaymanu dawooda waqala ya ayyuha alnnasu AAullimna mantiqa alttayri waooteena min kulli shayin inna hatha lahuwa alfadlu almubeenu

And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَیمَنَ جُنُودُهُ مِنَ الجِنِّ وَالاِنسِ وَالطَّیرِ فَهُم یُوزَعُونَ

Wahushira lisulaymana junooduhu mina aljinni waalinsi waalttayri fahum yoozaAAoona

And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows

حَتَّیٓ اِذَآ اَتَواْ عَلَی وَادِ النَّملِ قَالَت نَملَۃٞ یَٓاَیُّهَا النَّملُ ادخُلُواْ مَسَکِنَکُم لَا یَحطِمَنَّکُم سُلَیمَنُ وَجُنُودُهُ وَهُم لَا یَشعُرُونَ

Hatta itha ataw AAala wadi alnnamli qalat namlatun ya ayyuha alnnamlu odkhuloo masakinakum la yahtimannakum sulaymanu wajunooduhu wahum la yashAAuroona

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِکا مِّن قَولِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ اَوزِعنِیٓ اَن اَشکُرَ نِعمَتَکَ الَّتِیٓ اَنعَمتَ عَلَیَّ وَعَلَی وَلِدَیَّ وَاَن اَعمَلَ صَلِحا تَرضَیهُ وَاَدخِلنِی بِرَحمَتِکَ فِی عِبَادِکَ الصَّلِحِینَ

Fatabassama dahikan min qawliha waqala rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waadkhilnee birahmatika fee AAibadika alssaliheena

So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants

وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّیرَ فَقَالَ مَالِیَ لَآ اَرَی الهُدهُدَ اَم کَانَ مِنَ الغَآئِبِینَ

Watafaqqada alttayra faqala ma liya la ara alhudhuda am kana mina alghaibeena

And he took attendance of the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe - or is he among the absent

لَاُعَذِّبَنَّهُ عَذَابا شَدِیدًا اَو لَاَاْذبَحَنَّهُٓ اَو لَیَاتِیَنِّی بِسُلطَن مُّبِین

LaoAAaththibannahu AAathaban shadeedan aw laathbahannahu aw layatiyannee bisultanin mubeenin

I will surely punish him with a severe punishment or slaughter him unless he brings me clear authorization

فَمَکَثَ غَیرَ بَعِید فَقَالَ اَحَطتُ بِمَا لَم تُحِط بِهِ وَجِئتُکَ مِن سَبَاِ بِنَبَا یَقِینٍ

Famakatha ghayra baAAeedin faqala ahattu bima lam tuhit bihi wajituka min sabain binabain yaqeenin

But the hoopoe stayed not long and said, "I have encompassed [in knowledge] that which you have not encompassed, and I have come to you from Sheba with certain news

اِنِّی وَجَدتُّ امرَاَۃ تَملِکُهُم وَاُوتِیَت مِن کُلِّ شَیء وَلَهَا عَرشٌ عَظِیمٞ

Innee wajadtu imraatan tamlikuhum waootiyat min kulli shayin walaha AAarshun AAatheemun

Indeed, I found [there] a woman ruling them, and she has been given of all things, and she has a great throne

وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَومَهَا یَسجُدُونَ لِلشَّمسِ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَزَیَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّیطَنُ اَعمَلَهُم فَصَدَّهُم عَنِ السَّبِیلِ فَهُم لَا یَهتَدُونَ

Wajadtuha waqawmaha yasjudoona lilshshamsi min dooni Allahi wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanu aAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli fahum la yahtadoona

I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from [His] way, so they are not guided

اَلَّا یَسجُدُواْ لِلَّهِ الَّذِی یُخرِجُ الخَبءَ فِی السَّمَوَتِ وَالاَرضِ وَیَعلَمُ مَا تُخفُونَ وَمَا تُعلِنُونَ

Alla yasjudoo lillahi allathee yukhriju alkhabaa fee alssamawati waalardi wayaAAlamu ma tukhfoona wama tuAAlinoona

[And] so they do not prostrate to Allah, who brings forth what is hidden within the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare

اللَّهُ لَآ اِلَهَ اِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ العَرشِ العَظِیمِ

Allahu la ilaha illa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alAAatheemi

Allah - there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Great Throne

قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ اَصَدَقتَ اَم کُنتَ مِنَ الکَذِبِینَ

Qala sananthuru asadaqta am kunta mina alkathibeena

[Solomon] said, "We will see whether you were truthful or were of the liars

اذهَب بِّکِتَبِی هَذَا فَاَلقِه اِلَیهِم ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنهُم فَانظُر مَاذَا یَرجِعُونَ

Ithhab bikitabee hatha faalqih ilayhim thumma tawalla AAanhum faonthur matha yarjiAAoona

Take this letter of mine and deliver it to them. Then leave them and see what [answer] they will return

قَالَت یَٓاَیُّهَا المَلَؤُاْ اِنِّیٓ اُلقِیَ اِلَیَّ کِتَبٞ کَرِیمٌ

Qalat ya ayyuha almalao innee olqiya ilayya kitabun kareemun

She said, "O eminent ones, indeed, to me has been delivered a noble letter

اِنَّهُ مِن سُلَیمَنَ وَاِنَّهُ بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمَنِ الرَّحِیمِ

Innahu min sulaymana wainnahu bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi

Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads: 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

اَلَّا تَعلُواْ عَلَیَّ وَاتُونِی مُسلِمِینَ

Alla taAAloo AAalayya watoonee muslimeena

Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission [as Muslims]

قَالَت یَٓاَیُّهَا المَلَؤُاْ اَفتُونِی فِیٓ اَمرِی مَا کُنتُ قَاطِعَۃً اَمرًا حَتَّی تَشهَدُونِ

Qalat ya ayyuha almalao aftoonee fee amree ma kuntu qatiAAatan amran hatta tashhadoona

She said, "O eminent ones, advise me in my affair. I would not decide a matter until you witness [for] me

قَالُواْ نَحنُ اُوْلُواْ قُوَّۃ وَاُوْلُواْ بَاس شَدِید وَالاَمرُ اِلَیکِ فَانظُرِی مَاذَا تَامُرِینَ

Qaloo nahnu oloo quwwatin waoloo basin shadeedin waalamru ilayki faonthuree matha tamureena

They said, "We are men of strength and of great military might, but the command is yours, so see what you will command

قَالَت اِنَّ المُلُوکَ اِذَا دَخَلُواْ قَریَۃً اَفسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓاْ اَعِزَّۃَ اَهلِهَآ اَذِلَّۃ وَکَذَلِکَ یَفعَلُونَ

Qalat inna almulooka itha dakhaloo qaryatan afsadooha wajaAAaloo aAAizzata ahliha athillatan wakathalika yafAAaloona

She said, "Indeed kings - when they enter a city, they ruin it and render the honored of its people humbled. And thus do they do

وَاِنِّی مُرسِلَۃٌ اِلَیهِم بِهَدِیَّۃ فَنَاظِرَۃُ بِمَ یَرجِعُ المُرسَلُونَ

Wainnee mursilatun ilayhim bihadiyyatin fanathiratun bima yarjiAAu almursaloona

But indeed, I will send to them a gift and see with what [reply] the messengers will return

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَیمَنَ قَالَ اَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَال فَمَآ ءَاتَینَِ اللَّهُ خَیرٞ مِّمَّآ ءَاتَیکُم بَل اَنتُم بِهَدِیَّتِکُم تَفرَحُونَ

Falamma jaa sulaymana qala atumiddoonani bimalin fama ataniya Allahu khayrun mimma atakum bal antum bihadiyyatikum tafrahoona

So when they came to Solomon, he said, "Do you provide me with wealth? But what Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Rather, it is you who rejoice in your gift

ارجِع اِلَیهِم فَلَنَاتِیَنَّهُم بِجُنُود لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخرِجَنَّهُم مِّنهَآ اَذِلَّۃ وَهُم صَغِرُونَ

IrjiAA ilayhim falanatiyannahum bijunoodin la qibala lahum biha walanukhrijannahum minha athillatan wahum saghiroona

Return to them, for we will surely come to them with soldiers that they will be powerless to encounter, and we will surely expel them therefrom in humiliation, and they will be debased

قَالَ یَٓاَیُّهَا المَلَؤُاْ اَیُّکُم یَاتِینِی بِعَرشِهَا قَبلَ اَن یَاتُونِی مُسلِمِینَ

Qala ya ayyuha almalao ayyukum yateenee biAAarshiha qabla an yatoonee muslimeena

[Solomon] said, "O assembly [of jinn], which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission

قَالَ عِفرِیتٞ مِّنَ الجِنِّ اَنَا ءَاتِیکَ بِهِ قَبلَ اَن تَقُومَ مِن مَّقَامِکَ وَاِنِّی عَلَیهِ لَقَوِیٌّ اَمِینٞ

Qala AAifreetun mina aljinni ana ateeka bihi qabla an taqooma min maqamika wainne AAalayhi laqawiyyun ameenun

A powerful one from among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy

قَالَ الَّذِی عِندَهُ عِلمٞ مِّنَ الکِتَبِ اَنَا ءَاتِیکَ بِهِ قَبلَ اَن یَرتَدَّ اِلَیکَ طَرفُکَ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُستَقِرًّا عِندَهُ قَالَ هَذَا مِن فَضلِ رَبِّی لِیَبلُوَنِیٓ ءَاَشکُرُ اَم اَکفُرُ وَمَن شَکَرَ فَاِنَّمَا یَشکُرُ لِنَفسِهِ وَمَن کَفَرَ فَاِنَّ رَبِّی غَنِیّٞ کَرِیمٞ

Qala allathee AAindahu AAilmun mina alkitabi ana ateeka bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka tarfuka falamma raahu mustaqirran AAindahu qala hatha min fadli rabbee liyabluwanee aashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fainnama yashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fainna rabbee ghaniyyun kareemun

Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him, he said, "This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful - his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful - then indeed, my Lord is Free of need and Generous

قَالَ نَکِّرُواْ لَهَا عَرشَهَا نَنظُر اَتَهتَدِیٓ اَم تَکُونُ مِنَ الَّذِینَ لَا یَهتَدُونَ

Qala nakkiroo laha AAarshaha nanthur atahtadee am takoonu mina allatheena la yahtadoona

He said, "Disguise for her her throne; we will see whether she will be guided [to truth] or will be of those who is not guided

فَلَمَّا جَآءَت قِیلَ اَهَکَذَا عَرشُکِ قَالَت کَاَنَّهُ هُوَ وَاُوتِینَا العِلمَ مِن قَبلِهَا وَکُنَّا مُسلِمِینَ

Falamma jaat qeela ahakatha AAarshuki qalat kaannahu huwa waooteena alAAilma min qabliha wakunna muslimeena

So when she arrived, it was said [to her], "Is your throne like this?" She said, "[It is] as though it was it." [Solomon said], "And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allah]

وَصَدَّهَا مَا کَانَت تَّعبُدُ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ اِنَّهَا کَانَت مِن قَوم کَفِرِینَ

Wasaddaha ma kanat taAAbudu min dooni Allahi innaha kanat min qawmin kafireena

And that which she was worshipping other than Allah had averted her [from submission to Him]. Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people

قِیلَ لَهَا ادخُلِی الصَّرحَ فَلَمَّا رَاَتهُ حَسِبَتهُ لُجَّۃ وَکَشَفَت عَن سَاقَیهَا قَالَ اِنَّهُ صَرحٞ مُّمَرَّدٞ مِّن قَوَارِیرَ قَالَت رَبِّ اِنِّی ظَلَمتُ نَفسِی وَاَسلَمتُ مَعَ سُلَیمَنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العَلَمِینَ

Qeela laha odkhulee alssarha falamma raathu hasibathu lujjatan wakashafat AAan saqayha qala innahu sarhun mumarradun min qawareera qalat rabbi innee thalamtu nafsee waaslamtu maAAa sulaymana lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

She was told, "Enter the palace." But when she saw it, she thought it was a body of water and uncovered her shins [to wade through]. He said, "Indeed, it is a palace [whose floor is] made smooth with glass." She said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah, Lord of the worlds

وَلَقَد اَرسَلنَآ اِلَی ثَمُودَ اَخَاهُم صَلِحًا اَنِ اعبُدُواْ اللَّهَ فَاِذَا هُم فَرِیقَانِ یَختَصِمُونَ

Walaqad arsalna ila thamooda akhahum salihan ani oAAbudoo Allaha faitha hum fareeqani yakhtasimoona

And We had certainly sent to Thamud their brother Salih, [saying], "Worship Allah," and at once they were two parties conflicting

قَالَ یَقَومِ لِمَ تَستَعجِلُونَ بِالسَّیِّئَۃِ قَبلَ الحَسَنَۃِ لَولَا تَستَغفِرُونَ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّکُم تُرحَمُونَ

Qala ya qawmi lima tastaAAjiloona bialssayyiati qabla alhasanati lawla tastaghfiroona Allaha laAAallakum turhamoona

He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allah that you may receive mercy

قَالُواْ اطَّیَّرنَا بِکَ وَبِمَن مَّعَکَ قَالَ طَٓئِرُکُم عِندَ اللَّهِ بَل اَنتُم قَومٞ تُفتَنُونَ

Qaloo ittayyarna bika wabiman maAAaka qala tairukum AAinda Allahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoona

They said, "We consider you a bad omen, you and those with you." He said, "Your omen is with Allah. Rather, you are a people being tested

وَکَانَ فِی المَدِینَۃِ تِسعَۃُ رَهط یُفسِدُونَ فِی الاَرضِ وَلَا یُصلِحُونَ

Wakana fee almadeenati tisAAatu rahtin yufsidoona fee alardi wala yuslihoona

And there were in the city nine family heads causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs]

قَالُواْ تَقَاسَمُواْ بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَیِّتَنَّهُ وَاَهلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِیِّهِ مَا شَهِدنَا مَهلِکَ اَهلِهِ وَاِنَّا لَصَدِقُونَ

Qaloo taqasamoo biAllahi lanubayyitannahu waahlahu thumma lanaqoolanna liwaliyyihi ma shahidna mahlika ahlihi wainna lasadiqoona

They said, "Take a mutual oath by Allah that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Then we will say to his executor, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful

وَمَکَرُواْ مَکرا وَمَکَرنَا مَکرا وَهُم لَا یَشعُرُونَ

Wamakaroo makran wamakarna makran wahum la yashAAuroona

And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not

فَانظُر کَیفَ کَانَ عَقِبَۃُ مَکرِهِم اَنَّا دَمَّرنَهُم وَقَومَهُم اَجمَعِینَ

Faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu makrihim anna dammarnahum waqawmahum ajmaAAeena

Then look how was the outcome of their plan - that We destroyed them and their people, all

فَتِلکَ بُیُوتُهُم خَاوِیَۃَ بِمَا ظَلَمُوٓاْ اِنَّ فِی ذَلِکَ لَآیَۃ لِّقَوم یَعلَمُونَ

Fatilka buyootuhum khawiyatan bima thalamoo inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yaAAlamoona

So those are their houses, desolate because of the wrong they had done. Indeed in that is a sign for people who know

وَاَنجَینَا الَّذِینَ ءَامَنُواْ وَکَانُواْ یَتَّقُونَ

Waanjayna allatheena amanoo wakanoo yattaqoona

And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah

وَلُوطًا اِذ قَالَ لِقَومِهِٓ اَتَاتُونَ الفَحِشَۃَ وَاَنتُم تُبصِرُونَ

Walootan ith qala liqawmihi atatoona alfahishata waantum tubsiroona

And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing

اَئِنَّکُم لَتَاتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهوَۃ مِّن دُونِ النِّسَآءِ بَل اَنتُم قَومٞ تَجهَلُونَ

Ainnakum latatoona alrrijala shahwatan min dooni alnnisai bal antum qawmun tajhaloona

Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly

فَمَا کَانَ جَوَابَ قَومِهِٓ اِلَّآ اَن قَالُوٓاْ اَخرِجُوٓاْ ءَالَ لُوط مِّن قَریَتِکُم اِنَّهُم اُنَاسٞ یَتَطَهَّرُونَ

Fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo akhrijoo ala lootin min qaryatikum innahum onasun yatatahharoona

But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure

فَاَنجَینَهُ وَاَهلَهُٓ اِلَّا امرَاَتَهُ قَدَّرنَهَا مِنَ الغَبِرِینَ

Faanjaynahu waahlahu illa imraatahu qaddarnaha mina alghabireena

So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind

وَاَمطَرنَا عَلَیهِم مَّطَرا فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ المُنذَرِینَ

Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena

And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned

قُلِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَمٌ عَلَی عِبَادِهِ الَّذِینَ اصطَفَیٓ ءَآللَّهُ خَیرٌ اَمَّا یُشرِکُونَ

Quli alhamdu lillahi wasalamun AAala AAibadihi allatheena istafa allahu khayrun amma yushrikoona

Say, [O Muhammad], "Praise be to Allah, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him

اَمَّن خَلَقَ السَّمَوَتِ وَالاَرضَ وَاَنزَلَ لَکُم مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ مَآء فَاَنبَتنَا بِهِ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهجَۃ مَّا کَانَ لَکُم اَن تُنبِتُواْ شَجَرَهَآ اَءِلَهٞ مَّعَ اللَّهِ بَل هُم قَومٞ یَعدِلُونَ

Amman khalaqa alssamawati waalarda waanzala lakum mina alssamai maan faanbatna bihi hadaiqa thata bahjatin ma kana lakum an tunbitoo shajaraha ailahun maAAa Allahi bal hum qawmun yaAAdiloona

[More precisely], is He [not best] who created the heavens and the earth and sent down for you rain from the sky, causing to grow thereby gardens of joyful beauty which you could not [otherwise] have grown the trees thereof? Is there a deity with Allah? [No], but they are a people who ascribe equals [to Him]

اَمَّن جَعَلَ الاَرضَ قَرَارا وَجَعَلَ خِلَلَهَآ اَنهَرا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَسِیَ وَجَعَلَ بَینَ البَحرَینِ حَاجِزًا اَءِلَهٞ مَّعَ اللَّهِ بَل اَکثَرُهُم لَا یَعلَمُونَ

Amman jaAAala alarda qararan wajaAAala khilalaha anharan wajaAAala laha rawasiya wajaAAala bayna albahrayni hajizan ailahun maAAa Allahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAlamoona

Is He [not best] who made the earth a stable ground and placed within it rivers and made for it firmly set mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier? Is there a deity with Allah? [No], but most of them do not know

اَمَّن یُجِیبُ المُضطَرَّ اِذَا دَعَاهُ وَیَکشِفُ السُّوٓءَ وَیَجعَلُکُم خُلَفَآءَ الاَرضِ اَءِلَهٞ مَّعَ اللَّهِ قَلِیلا مَّا تَذَکَّرُونَ

Amman yujeebu almudtarra itha daAAahu wayakshifu alssooa wayajAAalukum khulafaa alardi ailahun maAAa Allahi qaleelan ma tathakkaroona

Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah? Little do you remember

اَمَّن یَهدِیکُم فِی ظُلُمَتِ البَرِّ وَالبَحرِ وَمَن یُرسِلُ الرِّیَحَ بُشرَا بَینَ یَدَی رَحمَتِهِٓ اَءِلَهٞ مَّعَ اللَّهِ تَعَلَی اللَّهُ عَمَّا یُشرِکُونَ

Amman yahdeekum fee thulumati albarri waalbahri waman yursilu alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi ailahun maAAa Allahi taAAala Allahu AAamma yushrikoona

Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him

اَمَّن یَبدَؤُاْ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ یُعِیدُهُ وَمَن یَرزُقُکُم مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ وَالاَرضِ اَءِلَهٞ مَّعَ اللَّهِ قُل هَاتُواْ بُرهَنَکُم اِن کُنتُم صَدِقِینَ

Amman yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu waman yarzuqukum mina alssamai waalardi ailahun maAAa Allahi qul hatoo burhanakum in kuntum sadiqeena

Is He [not best] who begins creation and then repeats it and who provides for you from the heaven and earth? Is there a deity with Allah? Say, "Produce your proof, if you should be truthful

قُل لَّا یَعلَمُ مَن فِی السَّمَوَتِ وَالاَرضِ الغَیبَ اِلَّا اللَّهُ وَمَا یَشعُرُونَ اَیَّانَ یُبعَثُونَ

Qul la yaAAlamu man fee alssamawati waalardi alghayba illa Allahu wama yashAAuroona ayyana yubAAathoona

Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected

بَلِ ادَّرَکَ عِلمُهُم فِی الآخِرَۃِ بَل هُم فِی شَکّ مِّنهَا بَل هُم مِّنهَا عَمُونَ

Bali iddaraka AAilmuhum fee alakhirati bal hum fee shakkin minha bal hum minha AAamoona

Rather, their knowledge is arrested concerning the Hereafter. Rather, they are in doubt about it. Rather, they are, concerning it, blind

وَقَالَ الَّذِینَ کَفَرُوٓاْ اَءِذَا کُنَّا تُرَبا وَءَابَآؤُنَآ اَئِنَّا لَمُخرَجُونَ

Waqala allatheena kafaroo aitha kunna turaban waabaona ainna lamukhrajoona

And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]

لَقَد وُعِدنَا هَذَا نَحنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبلُ اِن هَذَآ اِلَّآ اَسَطِیرُ الاَوَّلِینَ

Laqad wuAAidna hatha nahnu waabaona min qablu in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena

We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples

قُل سِیرُواْ فِی الاَرضِ فَانظُرُواْ کَیفَ کَانَ عَقِبَۃُ المُجرِمِینَ

Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almujrimeena

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals

وَلَا تَحزَن عَلَیهِم وَلَا تَکُن فِی ضَیق مِّمَّا یَمکُرُونَ

Wala tahzan AAalayhim wala takun fee dayqin mimma yamkuroona

And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire

وَیَقُولُونَ مَتَی هَذَا الوَعدُ اِن کُنتُم صَدِقِینَ

Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena

And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful

قُل عَسَیٓ اَن یَکُونَ رَدِفَ لَکُم بَعضُ الَّذِی تَستَعجِلُونَ

Qul AAasa an yakoona radifa lakum baAAdu allathee tastaAAjiloona

Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient

وَاِنَّ رَبَّکَ لَذُو فَضلٍ عَلَی النَّاسِ وَلَکِنَّ اَکثَرَهُم لَا یَشکُرُونَ

Wainna rabbaka lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasi walakinna aktharahum la yashkuroona

And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude

وَاِنَّ رَبَّکَ لَیَعلَمُ مَا تُکِنُّ صُدُورُهُم وَمَا یُعلِنُونَ

Wainna rabbaka layaAAlamu ma tukinnu sudooruhum wama yuAAlinoona

And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare

وَمَا مِن غَآئِبَۃ فِی السَّمَآءِ وَالاَرضِ اِلَّا فِی کِتَب مُّبِینٍ

Wama min ghaibatin fee alssamai waalardi illa fee kitabin mubeenin

And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register

اِنَّ هَذَا القُرءَانَ یَقُصُّ عَلَی بَنِیٓ اِسرَٓءِیلَ اَکثَرَ الَّذِی هُم فِیهِ یَختَلِفُونَ

Inna hatha alqurana yaqussu AAala banee israeela akthara allathee hum feehi yakhtalifoona

Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree

وَاِنَّهُ لَهُدی وَرَحمَۃٞ لِّلمُؤمِنِینَ

Wainnahu lahudan warahmatun lilmumineena

And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers

اِنَّ رَبَّکَ یَقضِی بَینَهُم بِحُکمِهِ وَهُوَ العَزِیزُ العَلِیمُ

Inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum bihukmihi wahuwa alAAazeezu alAAaleemu

Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing

فَتَوَکَّل عَلَی اللَّهِ اِنَّکَ عَلَی الحَقِّ المُبِینِ

Fatawakkal AAala Allahi innaka AAala alhaqqi almubeeni

So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth

اِنَّکَ لَا تُسمِعُ المَوتَی وَلَا تُسمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَآءَ اِذَا وَلَّواْ مُدبِرِینَ

Innaka la tusmiAAu almawta wala tusmiAAu alssumma aldduAAaa itha wallaw mudbireena

Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating

وَمَآ اَنتَ بِهَدِی العُمیِ عَن ضَلَلَتِهِم اِن تُسمِعُ اِلَّا مَن یُؤمِنُ بَِٔایَتِنَا فَهُم مُّسلِمُونَ

Wama anta bihadee alAAumyi AAan dalalatihim in tusmiAAu illa man yuminu biayatina fahum muslimoona

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]

وَاِذَا وَقَعَ القَولُ عَلَیهِم اَخرَجنَا لَهُم دَآبَّۃ مِّنَ الاَرضِ تُکَلِّمُهُم اَنَّ النَّاسَ کَانُواْ بَِٔایَتِنَا لَا یُوقِنُونَ

Waitha waqaAAa alqawlu AAalayhim akhrajna lahum dabbatan mina alardi tukallimuhum anna alnnasa kanoo biayatina la yooqinoona

And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]

وَیَومَ نَحشُرُ مِن کُلِّ اُمَّۃ فَوجا مِّمَّن یُکَذِّبُ بَِٔایَتِنَا فَهُم یُوزَعُونَ

Wayawma nahshuru min kulli ommatin fawjan mimman yukaththibu biayatina fahum yoozaAAoona

And [warn of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a company of those who deny Our signs, and they will be [driven] in rows

حَتَّیٓ اِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ اَکَذَّبتُم بَِٔایَتِی وَلَم تُحِیطُواْ بِهَا عِلمًا اَمَّاذَا کُنتُم تَعمَلُونَ

Hatta itha jaoo qala akaththabtum biayatee walam tuheetoo biha AAilman ammatha kuntum taAAmaloona

Until, when they arrive [at the place of Judgement], He will say, "Did you deny My signs while you encompassed them not in knowledge, or what [was it that] you were doing

وَوَقَعَ القَولُ عَلَیهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُواْ فَهُم لَا یَنطِقُونَ

WawaqaAAa alqawlu AAalayhim bima thalamoo fahum la yantiqoona

And the decree will befall them for the wrong they did, and they will not [be able to] speak

اَلَم یَرَواْ اَنَّا جَعَلنَا الَّیلَ لِیَسکُنُواْ فِیهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبصِرًا اِنَّ فِی ذَلِکَ لَآیَت لِّقَوم یُؤمِنُونَ

Alam yaraw anna jaAAalna allayla liyaskunoo feehi waalnnahara mubsiran inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona

Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest therein and the day giving sight? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe

وَیَومَ یُنفَخُ فِی الصُّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَن فِی السَّمَوَتِ وَمَن فِی الاَرضِ اِلَّا مَن شَآءَ اللَّهُ وَکُلٌّ اَتَوهُ دَخِرِینَ

Wayawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fafaziAAa man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi illa man shaa Allahu wakullun atawhu dakhireena

And [warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled

وَتَرَی الجِبَالَ تَحسَبُهَا جَامِدَۃ وَهِیَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِ صُنعَ اللَّهِ الَّذِیٓ اَتقَنَ کُلَّ شَیءٍ اِنَّهُ خَبِیرُ بِمَا تَفعَلُونَ

Watara aljibala tahsabuha jamidatan wahiya tamurru marra alssahabi sunAAa Allahi allathee atqana kulla shayin innahu khabeerun bima tafAAaloona

And you see the mountains, thinking them rigid, while they will pass as the passing of clouds. [It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all things. Indeed, He is Acquainted with that which you do

مَن جَآءَ بِالحَسَنَۃِ فَلَهُ خَیرٞ مِّنهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَع یَومَئِذٍ ءَامِنُونَ

Man jaa bialhasanati falahu khayrun minha wahum min fazaAAin yawmaithin aminoona

Whoever comes [at Judgement] with a good deed will have better than it, and they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe

وَمَن جَآءَ بِالسَّیِّئَۃِ فَکُبَّت وُجُوهُهُم فِی النَّارِ هَل تُجزَونَ اِلَّا مَا کُنتُم تَعمَلُونَ

Waman jaa bialssayyiati fakubbat wujoohuhum fee alnnari hal tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona

And whoever comes with an evil deed - their faces will be overturned into the Fire, [and it will be said], "Are you recompensed except for what you used to do

اِنَّمَآ اُمِرتُ اَن اَعبُدَ رَبَّ هَذِهِ البَلدَۃِ الَّذِی حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُ کُلُّ شَیء وَاُمِرتُ اَن اَکُونَ مِنَ المُسلِمِینَ

Innama omirtu an aAAbuda rabba hathihi albaldati allathee harramaha walahu kullu shayin waomirtu an akoona mina almuslimeena

[Say, O Muhammad], "I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city, who made it sacred and to whom [belongs] all things. And I am commanded to be of the Muslims [those who submit to Allah]

وَاَن اَتلُوَاْ القُرءَانَ فَمَنِ اهتَدَی فَاِنَّمَا یَهتَدِی لِنَفسِهِ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُل اِنَّمَآ اَنَا مِنَ المُنذِرِینَ

Waan atluwa alqurana famani ihtada fainnama yahtadee linafsihi waman dalla faqul innama ana mina almunthireena

And to recite the Qur'an." And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays - say, "I am only [one] of the warners

وَقُلِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ سَیُرِیکُم ءَایَتِهِ فَتَعرِفُونَهَا وَمَا رَبُّکَ بِغَفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعمَلُونَ

Waquli alhamdu lillahi sayureekum ayatihi fataAArifoonaha wama rabbuka bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona

And say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do
