عَمَّ یَتَسَآءَلُونَ

AAamma yatasaaloona

About what are they asking one another

عَنِ النَّبَاِ العَظِیمِ

AAani alnnabai alAAatheemi

About the great news

الَّذِی هُم فِیهِ مُختَلِفُونَ

Allathee hum feehi mukhtalifoona

That over which they are in disagreement

کَلَّا سَیَعلَمُونَ

Kalla sayaAAlamoona

No! They are going to know

ثُمَّ کَلَّا سَیَعلَمُونَ

Thumma kalla sayaAAlamoona

Then, no! They are going to know

اَلَم نَجعَلِ الاَرضَ مِهَدا

Alam najAAali alarda mihadan

Have We not made the earth a resting place

وَالجِبَالَ اَوتَادا

Waaljibala awtadan

And the mountains as stakes

وَخَلَقنَکُم اَزوَجا

Wakhalaqnakum azwajan

And We created you in pairs

وَجَعَلنَا نَومَکُم سُبَاتا

WajaAAalna nawmakum subatan

And made your sleep [a means for] rest

وَجَعَلنَا الَّیلَ لِبَاسا

WajaAAalna allayla libasan

And made the night as clothing

وَجَعَلنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشا

WajaAAalna alnnahara maAAashan

And made the day for livelihood

وَبَنَینَا فَوقَکُم سَبعا شِدَادا

Wabanayna fawqakum sabAAan shidadan

And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

وَجَعَلنَا سِرَاجا وَهَّاجا

WajaAAalna sirajan wahhajan

And made [therein] a burning lamp

وَاَنزَلنَا مِنَ المُعصِرَتِ مَآء ثَجَّاجا

Waanzalna mina almuAAsirati maan thajjajan

And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water

لِّنُخرِجَ بِهِ حَبّا وَنَبَاتا

Linukhrija bihi habban wanabatan

That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation

وَجَنَّتٍ اَلفَافًا

Wajannatin alfafan

And gardens of entwined growth

اِنَّ یَومَ الفَصلِ کَانَ مِیقَتا

Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqatan

Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time

یَومَ یُنفَخُ فِی الصُّورِ فَتَاتُونَ اَفوَاجا

Yawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fatatoona afwajan

The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

وَفُتِحَتِ السَّمَآءُ فَکَانَت اَبوَبا

Wafutihati alssamao fakanat abwaban

And the heaven is opened and will become gateways

وَسُیِّرَتِ الجِبَالُ فَکَانَت سَرَابًا

Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanat saraban

And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage

اِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ کَانَت مِرصَادا

Inna jahannama kanat mirsadan

Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait

لِّلطَّغِینَ مََٔابا

Lilttagheena maaban

For the transgressors, a place of return

لَّبِثِینَ فِیهَآ اَحقَابا

Labitheena feeha ahqaban

In which they will remain for ages [unending]

لَّا یَذُوقُونَ فِیهَا بَردا وَلَا شَرَابًا

La yathooqoona feeha bardan wala sharaban

They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink

اِلَّا حَمِیما وَغَسَّاقا

Illa hameeman waghassaqan

Except scalding water and [foul] purulence

جَزَآء وِفَاقًا

Jazaan wifaqan

An appropriate recompense

اِنَّهُم کَانُواْ لَا یَرجُونَ حِسَابا

Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaban

Indeed, they were not expecting an account

وَکَذَّبُواْ بَِٔایَتِنَا کِذَّابا

Wakaththaboo biayatina kiththaban

And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial

وَکُلَّ شَیءٍ اَحصَینَهُ کِتَبا

Wakulla shayin ahsaynahu kitaban

But all things We have enumerated in writing

فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِیدَکُم اِلَّا عَذَابًا

Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illa AAathaban

So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment

اِنَّ لِلمُتَّقِینَ مَفَازًا

Inna lilmuttaqeena mafazan

Indeed, for the righteous is attainment

حَدَآئِقَ وَاَعنَبا

Hadaiqa waaAAnaban

Gardens and grapevines

وَکَوَاعِبَ اَترَابا

WakawaAAiba atraban

And full-breasted [companions] of equal age

وَکَاسا دِهَاقا

Wakasan dihaqan

And a full cup

لَّا یَسمَعُونَ فِیهَا لَغوا وَلَا کِذَّبا

La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala kiththaban

No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood

جَزَآء مِّن رَّبِّکَ عَطَآءً حِسَابا

Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaban

[As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account

رَّبِّ السَّمَوَتِ وَالاَرضِ وَمَا بَینَهُمَا الرَّحمَنِ لَا یَملِکُونَ مِنهُ خِطَابا

Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma alrrahmani la yamlikoona minhu khitaban

[From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech

یَومَ یَقُومُ الرُّوحُ وَالمَلَٓئِکَۃُ صَفّا لَّا یَتَکَلَّمُونَ اِلَّا مَن اَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحمَنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابا

Yawma yaqoomu alrroohu waalmalaikatu saffan la yatakallamoona illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waqala sawaban

The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct

ذَلِکَ الیَومُ الحَقُّ فَمَن شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلَی رَبِّهِ مََٔابًا

Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaban

That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return

اِنَّآ اَنذَرنَکُم عَذَابا قَرِیبا یَومَ یَنظُرُ المَرءُ مَا قَدَّمَت یَدَاهُ وَیَقُولُ الکَافِرُ یَلَیتَنِی کُنتُ تُرَبَا

Inna antharnakum AAathaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntu turaban

Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust
