Al-Humazah · Meccan · 9 ayat

الَّذِی جَمَعَ مَالا وَعَدَّدَهُ
Allathee jamaAAa malan waAAaddadahu
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it
یَحسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهُٓ اَخلَدَهُ
Yahsabu anna malahu akhladahu
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal
کَلَّا لَیُنبَذَنَّ فِی الحُطَمَۃِ
Kalla layunbathanna fee alhutamati
No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher
وَمَآ اَدرَیکَ مَا الحُطَمَۃُ
Wama adraka ma alhutamatu
And what can make you know what is the Crusher
نَارُ اللَّهِ المُوقَدَۃُ
Naru Allahi almooqadatu
It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled
الَّتِی تَطَّلِعُ عَلَی الاَفِٔدَۃِ
Allatee tattaliAAu AAala alafidati
Which mounts directed at the hearts
اِنَّهَا عَلَیهِم مُّؤصَدَۃٞ
lnnaha AAalayhim musadatun
Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them
فِی عَمَد مُّمَدَّدَۃِ
Fee AAamadin mumaddadatin
